Spring is here! I'm very happy to announce an introductory, free- flowing music class for children ages 4- 7.
We'll
embark on a musical journey with singing, improvisation games,
storytelling dance, and theater skills. This is for little ones and
their caregivers (no drop- offs, please).
Location: Epic Security Building, Broadway/72nd street, next to Trader Joe's.
Dates: 4 Thursdays April 11th, 18th, 25th, & May 2nd, 11AM- 12 noon.
Cost: $75/4 classes (Check or PayPal by April 4th) **If you cannot make all four classes, I can pro-rate the fee to $20/class.
About me: I'm
a classically trained singer and pianist, and have grown up with music
all of my life. I've performed with New Rochelle Opera, Bronx Opera, Opera
North, and the Opera Company of Brooklyn, as well as putting together
my very first cabaret act earlier this year at Cafe Iguana. Also, you
may know me as Fairy Mai, organizer of the Fairy Mai parties, and have
also been an intern at Hilltop Hanover Farm, looking after 3-4 year olds
and chickens.

Fairy Wing Workshop: Friday, June 15 at Noon (Register Now)

Fairy Wing Workshop: Friday, June 15 Noon - 3pm cost: $20
Location: Park Hill section of Yonkers, NY (we are near the 1 train at 242nd Street (last stop) and my mom has a 4 available seats in her car for those who need a ride from the subway. Both boys and girls will be participating in tomorrow's workshop.

Fairy Wing Workshop: Friday, June 15 Noon - 3pm cost: $20
Making wings is a really rewarding project in my opinion, like painting a picture that doesn't need training at all; and it also involves a lot of taping, tying, beglittering, and embellishing. And you wear them. I have finally perfected my technique and am willing to pass it on to whoever asks. For ages 5 - adult.
All materials will be provided, but wearing aprons or old clothing is recommended. We will go over character development; if anyone has been to the previous workshop, they can create a new one or build on their original fairy. We will study butterfly, dragonfly, and moth wings, and look at the paintings of Cicely Mary Barker and others. I can't wait to create with everyone!
